What are the upfront costs of solar?
Most homeowners finance their system, so there are little to no upfront costs. It typically becomes a manageable monthly payment instead.
How do credits for my extra power work?
When you produce more power than you need, you earn energy credits that you can use later to power your home. These come in handy in the winter or at night!
Why would I go solar if my current electricity rate is so low?
Rates may be low now, but they can change over time. Solar helps protect you from increases and gives you a more predictable energy rate.
Do I need a battery system at night or during the winter?
No. When your system isn’t producing, your home will still pull power from the grid. Any energy credits you’ve earned throughout the day can be used then.
How long will this whole process take?
Most projects take about 4-6 months, with most of this time spent waiting for loan approvals and utility paperwork. Your project manager will keep you updated through the entire process.
